Wendell Langford, 35, of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born in Middlesboro, KY on March 28, 1983, and was the son of the late Billy Gene Langford and Edna Kibert Langford, who survives. Wendell was a Christian and loved to hunt ginseng in the mountains.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Blanche Laws, and special aunt and uncle, Fred and Arlene Langford.
In addition to his mother, Edna Langford of Cumberland Gap, survivors include his brothers, Kevin Kibert, Randy Langford and David Langford; sister, Teresa Riddle; special aunts, Brenda Bell and Mary Ayers; special uncle, Jesse Kibert; special neighbor and friend, Calvin Wilder; special friend, Darlene Burchfield; and host of many special cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 19 at the Trinity Full Gospel Worship Center in Ferndale, KY with Rev. Jeff Kersey. Music will be by Cody Barnes, Amber Barnes, Erica Raines and Lisa Kersey. A funeral procession will leave from the church at 12:00 PM on Friday to the Mountianview Cemetery in Harrogate. Pallbearers will be Thomas Raines, Tommy Raines, A.J. Martin, Lathan Helton, Clarence Raines and Spencer Raines.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate to help them with funeral expenses.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate. And then on Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the Trinity Full Gospel Worship Center in Ferndale.
